So tell us a little about how you record your songs and the equipment you use. Your songs always sound bright and at the right volume levels it seems. I think they are very well recorded. what do you use to get your Guitars recorded. Are you using old school tape and then digitally rip converting?
Just curious please share your secret. Love this song. Oh and in case others are reading this post which I highly suspect, If anybodies songs have a five vote and five rank let me know if you want it on the player. I miss stuff sometimes, so help me out. Maybe someday I'll get it all automated, ha don't hold your breath..
I've been in hospital with appendicitis since Sunday. I just use very old some software a 15 year old guitar processor and a aardvark Q-10 input. The band is just some midi crap I edit in Sonor (a lot of cut and paste) and then I use ACD to sample and old soft synths from hacked programs of long ago. I mix it in the org. version of Cool Edit where I play the guitar and harp live. My newest software is 8 years old ,and I use 2 dollar headphones I got at Big Lots to hear it while I mixdown . My guitar is a 80's strat that I got for 200 bucks and my mic is 45 year old Shure (Unisphere I )I've had since childhood . I think the sound comes from too much time being a worthless musician and not much else ! Wish I had some thing else to fall back on but I've spent my whole life doing music. I wish I could make money this way but I never have. I am honored that anyone will even listen to the songs I write !
I hope you find the gold someday, but if not at least you are doing what you love and you are doing it good. I love every song you have done that I have heard.
P.S. I hope you are feeling better, heal up quick OK.
Good One
Cool tune - I dig the guitar - nice tone. I'm trying to get a good gtr tone, so far all my gtr sounds are thin and crappy.
Tom's Heart Beat
Ya, nice chord progression, a singing guitar - that's a swinging heart, beatin for blues and jazz ;o)
What do you use
