RIAA and You *** EXPLICIT CONTENT ***
Well other than beautifully created Blogs such as what Mike On Mike had put up about the almighty RIAA. I have created this little RIAA related Forum area, where all topics good or bad can be put up. Of course I am sure you all know how I feel about them but feel free to back them up if you like, I certainly won't.
I have also included on the site a couple of links on this subject matter so you can make up your own mind on the likes of the RIAA. The first link is to a web site dedicated on helping you discover those affiliated with the RIAA, so you can be better informed as to who is who and what is what. The second link is just a boycott RIAA link with some interesting articles and things related to this topic.
I want the main site to be open more for what we do best here and that is create great music.
Here are some youtube mockumentaries videos for your viewing pleasure, nothing real new they've been around for a little while but still good ones to watch. Enjoy them while you can, who knows they will probably make me remove them who knows. I know your watching RIAA, come on now admit it, you laughed too.

Not that obscure, I guess. Though I suppose in this capacity it could almost be considered a pun.
I used to want to get signed - that was the Holy Grail of the high school (be a star & get rich) musical dreams. I'm ok with making music for personal enjoyment and expression. If I get a few positive comments about it, that will do for now. It wouldn't suck to make some money, but that's not really the point. Making music is the point. I don't want to make money for some untalented suit though.

RIAA Settles
I thought the link below shows an interesting article that showcases the direction that the RIAA's collective attitude points to. We do need more attorneys like Ray Beckerman, he is fighting the RIAA with a constitutional angle. I think this angle is brilliant and more constitutional lawyers need to help in this tactical approach. Actually I'm not really sure what the RIAA's real goal is anymore with the way they are responding with all of these law suits. These law suits seem to be so counter productive.

Pirate Revolution
My hat goes off to Trent Reznor and Saul Williams. I believe their efforts represent the ultimate demise of the RIAA as more and more main stream musicians follow their lead. It shows that big results can be obtained in a different way with out the use of the RIAA and it's Empire.

Historical Proof Against RIAA BS!
Hi all.
Just ran across this vid of a musician comedian...or is it comedian musician?... Anyway, here's a great example reminding us all there's no such thing as 'original' music! LOL! Very good but watch thru to the great ending. Enjoy and FTRIAA! Who are they to draw any line? They aren't an 'official' anything but a self-appointed private organization who had to change their original, outdated purpose to be a current PITA or just fade away. I'm in favor of the bastards just fading away same as their original idea of establishing standards for vinyl recordings.
The artist's name btw is Rob Paravonian and he explains why he hates Pachelbel's Canon, a particular piece of classical music.
