Necromanos - Fire and Ice - 2008

Necromanos's picture

I redid one of my old songs, seeing if I could get a decent guitar sound. Came out ok, I guess.

Fire and Ice

Yes Sir, the rhythm guitar is ok; it's frequency range is within the lower mid band, so it won't interfere with vocals or lead guitar, which could still be added (and both usually being located within upper mid band and - due to reverb or distortion - also need band width in treble space).
Oh, that by the way leads me to an interesting question: did we ever have the pleasure to listen to your voice in any song, mate? Why not give it a try in 'Fire and Ice'? If you dared, I'd bestow a little guitar solo upon ;o)

No voice yet - Remembered Title Source

I haven't yet tracked any vocals, no decent way of inputing yet. I have the mike I got from Jamacast random giveaway, but no xlr connection. I'm trying to decide which way I want to go about that. For now it's just my synth or gtr with fx processor through standard line in on the computer. I did remember the reason this track was called "Fire and Ice": in the band I was in when it was first written, we used the Robert Frost poem of the same name as the lyrics. Probably copyright problems with using them though, so I may have to try something different.... like duh, one of my OWN poems! :o)

Frost poem

I see... Well, this Frost poem could be easily changed a bit (me could do this if necessary) to pull it out of copyright trouble.
And your lack of voice rec opportunity is a real pity, man. On the other hand... an XLR adapter isn't that expensive. Just think about all these possibilities if you could use own voice clips in addition to your rich music... isn't that attracting?
