Once again a german Pop Ballad about saying good-bye when love is gone (title: It's getting cold). A cover version from a song I wrote in 1985, which was a quite creative year. And yes Sir, apparently I'm unable to write happy love songs...
Lyrics translation:
1.
Another cigarette, smoke it with you,
Then I got to go, nothing's holding me here anymore.
Will write you as soon as I can,
Until we meet again, sometime.
2.
Keep your spirits up and take care.
It will work out, trust in it.
Do you sometimes remember our time,
All these dreams we had in common?
Refr.:
Hold me tight, a last time,
Before wind changes.
For we never had a choice.
It's getting cold when love disappears.
3.
Then standing down there and looking up once more.
She's not at the window, did I really believe so?
Flames in the engine, a trace of smoke;
Still an aeroplane in my stomach.

Though it's in German
Even if you hadn't included a translation for the lyrics, I would have no less enjoyed the song. The music and vocals evoke the mood of the songs subject very well. Love the guitar soloing too, nice tone. A good song is a good song regardless of the language. "Es Wird Kalt" is a very good song!
