Necromanos - Stuck in the 80's

I wanted to do a kinda retro 80's sounding track. I started out with Hammerhead drums playing LinnDrum samples, and a bass line using virtual Yamaha CS-80 and MiniMoog soft synths. The I added/played my real analog Korg Delta synth. I had to let the oscillators warm up for about an hour before it would keep in tune! But it sounds really good on the track, I think. Nothing like an analog synth. Finally added/played a guitar part to compliment. I don't know if it came out sounding very 80's like, but at this point, I'm stuck - or getting burnt out on the track. :o)

Necromanos - Intro

Acoustic guitar and MiniMoog V. It sounds like it could be an intro to a longer song. I guess I'll have to get working on that!

Necromanos - Horror Filmscore

Last year, probably about this time, Mamanfie from Splice asked the Splicers for some music that might fit with a horror short film project she was doing for her film class. Strangely enough, there is a preset on my guitar fx processor that is called "Horror Filmscore", that has a nice grating sound using harmonizer, delays, chorus and such. So I improvised a noisy guitar part then mixed in some Splice clips and came up with this result. Maybe a suitable contribution for the Halloween season. Don't play it too loud at first, the guitar is extremely noisy! I can't remember who to credit for the clips used and the Splice website isn't opening for me to have a look. Possibly Rig, Groovebox, and Compusician, though.

Necromanos - reVevo

A remix of Asaguare's delightful "Vevo". Remix done on Reaper sequencer, cause Splice is still not rendering, last I checked. I added a few things while trying to keep the original melody intact. I hope Asaguare doesn't mind my picking on one of his songs again! :o) They're all great to start off with.

Necromanos - Guitarp

A little experiment with arpeggios. Kinda ambient with drive. Maybe sounds like something that would be on a soundtrack or something.

Necromanos - Experience This

Finally recorded a new song. I was just jamming along to a drum loop, and this is what came out of it. (I think I've used the drumloop before, probably should have picked a different one to jam to.)

Necromanos - Midi1Synth4

One midi file recorded as a live take - no piano roll note picking or editing - copied to three additional tracks - one soft synth per track (Korg M1Le, Ultra Analog Session, Alpha 3 free edition, and Motion) - Rendered as an mp3. If anyone wants to use it as anything, there is no bmp count. It was a freestyle improv.

Necromanos - Funky 22

Ok, Ok... I need to start writing songs instead of just writing music. I like it, but it needs lyrics or something to help me figure out an arrangement. Maybe I should do soundtracks... I scored many an episode of "Angel" when I was watching the show on hulu.com. :o)

Necromanos - DL1W

Work in progress - time to do a rock song! The title is just what I happened to type when saving the .rpp file. I need to work on the arrangement and add some more interest to it. Maybe I'll try to write some lyrics too.

Necromanos - Glenn Miller for AnARP

Arpeggiated horns with loud drums. I think the arp (or my triggering of the arp) gets a little off the beat at times, but I kinda like it. I think I will work on the arrangement and make a more structured song out of it. I should begin to have more time for writing/recording now that my wife is about to go back to school (she's a teacher) - which means she'll have to start going to bed earlier - leaving me more times in the evenings to noodle. :op
